The first time I came to Boren was in 2017. I was in G7A. I didn’t know Chinese Mandarin, and my English was considered hopeless. It was really hard for me to have classes while having those language barriers, but I wasn’t alone. The teachers and classmates were all nice to me. They helped me when I most needed it. The teachers would answer my questions patiently whenever I didn’t understand something. My classmates would translate for me whenever I didn’t understand. Even though I was the only one facing the problem, I never felt alone because they were there for me. Now in 2022, being in G12, I am one of the top students of the grade. My English  and Chinese levels are high, enough for written and oral conversations. I have been top 1 of the whole grade 5 years in a row, and all that is thank to all the people I have met in Boren. So, if one day you ask me about what I have learned from Boren, I will tell you: I learned in Boren that you will never be alone. There will always be people having your back.
