Greetings from Canadian Principal

Sincerely,

Brent Godovitz

Welcome to Boren Sino-Canadian School!

I am Brent Godovitz, and it is my privilege to serve as the principal of this remarkable institution. Overthe past three years as principal, I have been continually inspired by the dedication, enthusiasm, and achievements of our students, staff, and the entire school community. My background includes a Master of Education (MEd), Principal Qualifications, a Bachelor of Education (BEd), and a Bachelor of Arts (BA).Additionally, I am a specialist in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) for Mandarin speakers, with extensive experience in test preparation, special education, and religious education. These diverse qualifications allow me to approach education with a holistic perspective, ensuring that we meet the unique needs of each student at Boren.

At Boren Sino-Canadian School, we are deeply committed to integrating the richness of Chinese cultural traditions with the rigorous academic standards of Canadian education. This fusion creates a dynamic and enriching environment where our students not only achieve academic excellence but also develop a profound appreciation for the diverse world they are a part of. Our approach is fundamentally student-centered,recognizing that each learner brings their own strengths, challenges, and aspirations to the table. We are dedicated to providing the support and opportunities necessary for every student to thrive, both in their academic pursuits and in their personal growth.

As we look forward to the coming year, our focus remains on building upon the 25 years of excellence that Boren has become known for. Our students consistently achieve outstanding university outcomes, and we are committed to maintaining and enhancing this legacy of success. To this end, we are making significant strides in updating our use of technology within the curriculum to ensure that it aligns seamlessly with the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) program.

This modernization effort is crucial in preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

In addition to our academic focus, we are also expanding our extracurricular offerings, recognizing that a well-rounded education goes beyond the classroom. This year, we are introducing more sports, clubs, and activities designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and leadership among our students. These programs are an integral part of the Boren experience, providing students with the chance to explore their passions, build lasting friendships, and develop the confidence to take on new challenges.

I am excited about the year ahead and the many possibilities it holds for our students and our school. It will be a year filled with hard work, great memories, and significant achievements. I encourage every member of our school community—students, parents, and staff alike—to embrace the opportunities that come our way and to work together in making this year one of the best in Boren's history.

Thank you for being a part of our vibrant community. I look forward to the journey ahead and to celebrating the successes that this year will undoubtedly bring.

Warm regards,

Brent Godovitz
